‘Path of Totality’ Mini-Film Release – A film by Anne Beal

Six cutting-edge filmmakers create works for the Feb 8 worldwide release of ‘Path of Totality’ on Whirlwind Recordings.

The second film, ‘Path of Totality’, is by Brooklyn experimental animator Anne Beal! This piece, featuring two drummers, uses the Total Solar Eclipse of 2017 as its inspiration.

Always, huge thanks to the amazing musicians: David Binney, Matt Mitchell, Kenny Wollesen and Nate Wood!

‘Bounce’ Mini-Film Release – A Film by Lee Hutzulak

Film 1/6 – Bounce – Film by Lee Hutzulak – Music from Quinsin Nachoff’s Flux: Path of Totality

As part of the Feb 8th worldwide release of ‘Path of Totality’ on Whirlwind Recordings, I commissioned six cutting-edge filmmakers to create an original work in response to a miniature version of each composition.

The first film is ‘Bounce’ by Lee Hutzulak, a filmmaker, artist and musician based in Vancouver, Canada! This piece uses the physics of a bouncing object as the inspiration – thank you to Dr Stephen Morris at University of Toronto Physics for his computer programming and collaboration on this piece!

And always huge thanks to the amazing musicians: David Binney, Matt Mitchell and Nate Wood!

DownBeat 4.5 Stars for Path of Totality

Thank you DownBeat Magazine and JD Considine for a 4.5 star review in the upcoming February edition for Path of Totality!

This may, or may not, also coincide numerically with the rotations around the sun that I’m celebrating today…

“In all, Path of Totality is a stunning, deep dive of an album, the sort of music in which one could spend hours submersed.”
